It's the Season

October 22, 2010

You’ve probably received emails lately about all the fall festivities going on. We don’t mean to overwhelm everyone so I thought I would give you the breakdown here. With everyone busy (which is good), we want to provide opportunities to have fun, give time or donate. Don’t feel any pressure, just want everyone to know that I hope STG Design can be a well-rounded place to work but also about fun and community.

Oct. 25/26th – Coats for Kids – Bring a new or gently used coat by next Mon/Tues. here in Austin.

Oct. 29th – Halloween Fall Festival (company wide – costumes, food and pumpkin decorating)

CANstruction – Our inspired dream team in Austin is working with SpawMaxwell to build a creative design out of canned food that will all be donated to the Capital Area Food Bank. We’ll take any $ donation big or small (hint, hint) to purchase cans. The Food Bank’s need is bigger than ever with this economic downturn. Need donations by Nov. 1

Nov. 6th – Cystic Fibrosis Sports Challenge – Come out to compete in fun, family sports events or cheer on our team 9am-1pm as we compete with other AEC firms. We’ll compete for prizes and to help those fighting Cystic Fibrosis.

“Look, I don’t want to wax philosophic, but I will say that if you’re alive you’ve got to flap your arms and legs, you’ve got to jump around a lot, for life is the very opposite of death, and therefore you must at very least think noisy and colorfully, or you’re not alive”.
Mel Brooks (a very wise man)
